It’s Never Too Late to Live Your Dreams
Do you remember playing dress up when you were younger? What were your dreams then? What are your dreams now? Do you believe that dreaming is only for children? They’re not… they’re for every one of us, no matter what our age or circumstance.
It’s your dreams that show you your passions, joys, and pleasures. It’s reaching for those dreams that keep you alive as you live. When you are simply resigned to living, life is boring, a drudgery, or flat. But that’s not living! That’s existing.
Right now, get out a piece of paper and list some dreams—big ones, little ones, and in-between ones; old dreams, new dreams, any dreams. Next to each idea, write the first baby step that needs to be taken in order to reach that dream. Pick one dream. Today, take that first baby step toward fulfilling it. What about tomorrow? Keep going, taking one baby step at a time and notice where it leads you. Most likely, it will lead to your dream if you persist long enough, and make it the top priority of each day!
Think about what our world would be like if no one had ever dreamed? We’d be back in the cave era, hunting and gathering. Progress is made by people following through on their dreams, and lives are enriched through pursuing dreams. Enrich your life now by taking one dream (if you’re afraid, take a small one) and following it through to the end. This will bring joy into your life and a big smile to your face!
